Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP)

Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, HVRP provides housing, employment, and supportive services to help Chicago veterans experiencing homelessness successfully reintegrate into the workforce and their communities.

Our multi-phase model — intake and assessment, job readiness training, placement, and retention — pairs each veteran with intensive case management and a personalized Individual Development Plan covering employment, housing, mental health, medical, education, childcare, and VA benefits.

About this Program

We use motivational interviewing techniques to help veterans prosper, paired with job training, skills development, employment placement, and one-on-one career coaching through community partnerships.

Additional services include transportation, hiring event access, and connection to resources. An Honors Award grant with Veteran Affairs extends supportive services — transportation, clothing, personalized job readiness — to veterans not fully enrolled in the main program.
