Rapid ReHousing Services

Safe, affordable housing is a human right. Of Color operates two Rapid ReHousing programs funded through the Mayor's Office, All Chicago, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Our non-mandated, family-systems approach meets clients where they are and wraps individualized support around each household member — culturally respectful assessments, customized plans, and Housing Case Managers who advocate alongside tenants.

About this Program

Assessment identifies barriers, supports, and strengths — considering age, language, developmental level, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Customized plans set specific goals and strategies, and regular reviews keep progress on track.

Housing Case Managers build landlord relationships, mediate when needed, and partner with realtors across Chicago. ARPA / Mayor's Office serves families of one or more; the HUD-funded program serves young adults ages 18–24 with health-provider linkages.
